Partnership between the Smithsonian Institution's Conservation and Research Center and Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine

The mission of the Conservation and Research Center (CRC) is the conservation of global diversity through scientific research, professional training, and environmental education.  Based on a 3,200 acre field station near Front Royal, Virginia, CRC is a division of the Smithsonian's National Zoological Park.  Scientists travel throughout the world to save wildlife, to save habitats and to restore species to the wild.
