K-State’s College of Veterinary Medicine Announces Professorships

Several faculty members at Kansas State
University's College of Veterinary Medicine have been appointed to
special professorships.
"It is an honor and a pleasure to recognize faculty members such as
these," said Ralph Richardson, dean of the college.
The appointments include:
* David Biller, professor of clinical sciences, to the Upham
Professorship. The appointment honors Dr. Roy Walter Upham and
recognizes senior leadership in the College of Veterinary Medicine.
* Michael Dryden, professor of diagnostic medicine and pathobiology, to
the Frick Professorship. The appointment honors Dr. E.J. Frick and
recognizes a faculty member with a national and international
reputation.
* Susan Nelson, clinical assistant professor at the K-State Veterinary
Medical Teaching Hospital, to the Pet Trust Professorship. The
appointment recognizes and honors a faculty member who has been an
exemplary role-model for client communications, compassionate patient
care, respect for the human-animal bond, outstanding clinical teaching,
professionalism and leadership.
* Dan Thomson, assistant professor of clinical sciences, to the Jones
Professorship. The appointment honors W.S. and E.C. Jones and recognizes
excellence in food animal production medicine and epidemiology.
