The Kansas State University College of Veterinary
Medicine Canine Club is a unique group. The organization strives to
educate interested KSU CVM students in the areas of canine behavior,
medicine, and surgery; inform students about local service canine
operations, shelters, and canine outreach; as well as provide
opportunities for students to socialize their pets during our canine
outings. We also plan wet labs, which provide for hands-on experience in
canine practice.
Elections are held in the spring, with President, President-Elect,
Secretary, and Treasurer selected for the following calendar year. Dues
are $5.00 and cover the fall and spring semester. Meetings are held once
a month with a speaker presenting a topic of interest.
Our membership is not limited to just those students interested in
exclusive canine practice – we have many members interested in general
small animal practice and some planning employment in mixed animal
practices.
