SCAAFP - Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners

The Kansas State University Student Chapter of the American Association of Feline Practitioners began in the fall of 1987. Objectives of the organization include enhancing the educational opportunities of veterinary students at Kansas State in the areas of feline medicine and surgery; and promoting cooperation between veterinary and cat fancy organizations.

This is a small organization here at Kansas State, which allows us the flexibility to plan activities which benefit all members, and allows us the ability to offer members hands-on opportunities to gain skills. Our membership is not limited to just those students interested in exclusive feline practice, but we have members interested in small animal practice, as well as some planning employment in mixed animal practices.

Elections are held in November, with President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer selected for the following calendar year. Dues are $5.00 and cover the fall and spring semester. Meetings are held once a month with a speaker presenting a topic of interest.
