Teaching Awards: Plans and funding for new teaching awards for all four years of the DVM curriculum were developed. The 4th year award was presented in April 2005; the rest will be voted on and awarded in fall 2005.

Parallel Paths Retreat: a retreat/planning meeting was held at the Alumni Center on January 20, 2005. During the meeting, the activities of Parallel Paths during 2004 were reviewed and the plans for 2005 were developed.

Seminar on Promotion and Tenure Process: Manuel Moro of the High Plain’s Drifters organized a seminar on the promotion and tenure processes on January 11. The Heads of each CVM Department reviewed the processes in their departments and answered questions from faculty.

Seminar on Leadership Skills: Bonnie Rush of the High Plains Drifters organized a seminar on leadership skills for April 26. Dave Renz from the Midwest Center for Nonprofit Leadership, University of Missouri - Kansas City was the guest speaker

Community of Teaching Scholars: John Pickrell of the Purrfect Pride worked with Vicki Clegg (Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning) to organize a series of seminars on basic concepts of teaching and learning. Began in Spring 2005 and continues to summer 2005.

Teaching Celebration October 2005. An ice cream social and presentation of the teaching awards for the first three years of the DVM curriculum.

Individual Faculty Development: Pride members will be utilizing funds for faculty development and enrichment through a proposal process to Parallel Paths.
