Activities by the hour

9 a.m.
The Ins and Outs of Applying to Veterinary School. Dr. Ronnie Elmore, Associate Dean of Admissions and Diversity Programs. Frick Auditorium, Mosier Hall.

10 a.m.
Food safety from farm to fork: how to get people to wash their hands
Dr. Douglas Powell, Frick Auditorium, Mosier Hall.

11 a.m.
Safe Harbor Prison Dog Program. Dogs are given a second chance at life as they are rescued, fostered by trained inmates who socialize and train the dogs, and are adopted out to a loving home. Frick Auditorium, Mosier Hall.

11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Pig out on a Porkburger. Enjoy a porkburger, baked beans, and a soda prepared by the Swine Practitioners Club. Outside “I-70,” Mosier Hall.

12:30 p.m.
Vet Med Pet show. You be the judge and vote for your “Favorite American Fido” as the animals compete in the Vet Med Pet Show. Outside of Trotter Hall.

Animals on Display
Visit the wide variety of animal species in the Veterinary world. Trotter 104 and “I-70,” Mosier hall.

Browse the Expo
Pet toys, games, clothing and drawings await you at the expo. Check out the various club and vendor booths. “I-70,” Mosier Hall.

Guided tours
Tours of clinic and class facilities start every 15 minutes. Information Booth east of Trotter Hall.

R.E.A.D. Reading Education And Assistance Dogs
Reading program for children. Please bring a children’s book to read to a dog! 104 Trotter Hall.

Kid’s Pet Clinic
Kids can bring in their stuffed animals for treatment. Small Animal lobby of Veterinary Hospital, Mosier Hall.

Palpation Pony
Learn how to perform a physical exam on the Vet Med pony. “I-70,” Mosier Hall.

Mock Surgical Suite
Dress up like a surgeon! See students prepare a patient for surgery. 104 Trotter Hall.

Bug’s life
Can you guess how many fleas are crammed into a jar? 204 Trotter Hall.

Roamin’ thru the Rumen
