Clinical Assistant Professor in
Soft Tissue and General Surgery
The Veterinary Medical Teaching
Hospital and Department of Clinical Sciences, College of Veterinary
Medicine at Kansas State University is seeking applications from
qualified individuals for a one-year term position in small animal soft
tissue and general surgery at the faculty rank of Clinical Assistant
Professor. Applicants must possess a DVM or equivalent degree.
Preference will be given to individuals who have completed residency
training and who have experience in small animal soft tissue and
oncologic surgery. The position will be approximately 70% clinical with
the majority of time spent on the soft tissue surgery service. The
position also requires some didactic and laboratory instruction. Ample
time will be allotted for ACVS Board preparation for non-boarded
applicants. The Small Animal Surgery service is currently composed of 4
ACVS-boarded surgeons, 3 surgical residents and 4 technicians dedicated
to the surgery suite and ward.
The successful candidate will be expected to participate in clinical
service, veterinary and graduate student instruction, research, and
support the academic missions of the department and VMTH.
The starting date for the position is negotiable. Salary will be
commensurate with the applicant’s experience and qualifications.
