Senior Scientist

Conduct biomedical research in the field of male reproductive biology and physiology, including the study bicarbonate transporters in the male reproductive duct. Develop and conduct experimental protocols that rely on molecular techniques. Design and execute experimental protocols in cellular physiology and electrophysiology to analyze, summarize, interpret and present results from scientific experiments. Utilize surgical techniques on lab animals, including large animals, in performing scientific experiments. Provide guidance to junior researchers in the laboratory and troubleshoot protocols for lab members. Publish research results in reputable scientific journals. Seek extramural funding. Doctorate in Physiology, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Veterinary Medicine or a related field. Five years of relevant experience. Demonstrated ability with molecular biology techniques and confocal microscopy. Demonstrated knowledge of reproductive physiology. Demonstrated ability with animal surgical techniques. $42,000 - $46,000/yr.
