Anesthesiology Residency

The Department of Anatomy and Physiology invites applications for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow. The successful candidate will hold a Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Physiology, Biology or a related discipline. He/she will be a highly motivated individual with a demonstrated interest in questions pertaining to epithelial ion transport mechanisms and their dysfunction in human and animal diseases. A firm grounding in modern methods of protein biochemistry and molecular biology is required. These include, but are not limited to, immunoblotting, surface biotinylation, immunoprecipitation, quantitative PCR, and site-directed mutagenesis, as well as mammalian cell culture and transfection. Experience in confocal immunofluorescence microscopy is an advantage. Excellent spoken and written English is an absolute requirement. Screening of applications will begin on December 8, 2008.
