     Dr. Renberg has research interests in several areas of veterinary orthopedics. His work primarily centers on the study of arthritis, especially pertaining to hip dysplasia in dogs. His Masters work evaluated an experimental model for the study of osteoarthritis in the canine hip. Dr. Renberg has been involved in several studies involving force plate evaluations, and he continues this interest. His current investigations involve an alternative method of diagnosing hip dysplasia as well as participation in various drug trials for the treatment of arthritis. In addition, Dr. Renberg is pursuing the biomechanical effects of spinal surgery and has tested a new method of repairing severed tendons. Dr. Renberg serves as the mentor for several veterinary students and has been the advisor for past and present interns and residents. He serves on both departmental and college committees.
