Dr. Roush is a small animal Orthopedic surgeon and is the Service Chief of Small Animal Surgery at Kansas State University. After graduating as a DVM from Purdue University in 1983, he entered a private, primarily large animal, veterinary practice from 1983 to 1985. From 1985 through 1988 he completed a small animal surgery residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and received a Master of Sciences from the University of Wisconsin in 1988. Dr. Roush remained at the University of Wisconsin as a Clinical Instructor in Surgery from 1988-1989 and joined the surgical staff at Kansas State University in 1989. Dr. Roush is a 1990 Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons and has specialized in small animal orthopedic surgery for the past 11 years. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Sciences.

Research activities: Dr. Roush's research interests include pharmaceutics modulation of osteoarthritis and bone healing and blood supply.
