Small ruminant reproduction services (camelids, sheep, goats, deer)
The Theriogenology and Agricultural Practices Sections provide year-round routine, referral and emergency small ruminant reproduction services. Services currently offered are:
- Complete reproductive exam in females and males
- Semen collection and evaluation
- Diagnosis and treatment of infertility in females and males
- Pregnancy diagnosis
- Evaluation of fetal well-being
- Diagnosis and management of high risk pregnancies
- Diagnosis and management of pregnancy losses
- Parturition services
- Medical and surgical management of complicated parturitions (dystocia)
- Treatment of post-partum problems
- Medical termination of unwanted pregnancies
- Reproductive ultrasonography and endoscopy
- Semen freezing
- Artificial insemination with fresh and frozen semen
