Small ruminant reproduction services (camelids, sheep, goats, deer)

 

The Theriogenology and Agricultural Practices Sections provide year-round routine, referral and emergency small ruminant reproduction services. Services currently offered are:

• Complete reproductive exam in females and males
• Semen collection and evaluation
• Diagnosis and treatment of infertility in females and males
• Pregnancy diagnosis
• Evaluation of fetal well-being
• Diagnosis and management of high risk pregnancies
• Diagnosis and management of pregnancy losses
• Parturition services
• Medical and surgical management of complicated parturitions (dystocia)
• Treatment of post-partum problems
• Medical termination of unwanted pregnancies
• Reproductive ultrasonography and endoscopy
• Semen freezing
• Artificial insemination with fresh and frozen semen
