Neonatal Intensive Care Internship Internship in Neonatal Intensive Care in the Department of Clinical Studies, New Bolton Center, University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Seeking applicants for an internship in large animal perinatology/neonatology. This will be a 5 ½ - month position commencing on January 15, 2010 and ending June 30, 2010. A VMD or equivalent degree is required. This intense training program will require an individual with a strong interest in neonatal intensive care medicine and large animal perinatology. Responsibilities include: day and night emergency duty in the Graham French Neonatal Intensive Care Unit; management of hospitalized neonates and periparturient dams with high-risk pregnancies; and clinical instruction of veterinary students assigned to the neonatal intensive care unit. This position will provide clinical training in a variety of intensive care treatment modalities. This individual will be closely supervised by a senior perinatologist/ neonatologist.
