Welcome to Washoe Valley Veterinary Hospital. We are looking for a full or part-time associate to add to our practice. Come on in and we'll "show" you around. We are an established progressive small animal practice, located in the pristine Washoe Valley of northern Nevada. Our hospital is less than 30 minutes to Reno, Carson City and the Greater Lake Tahoe area and just 5 minutes from the beautiful Washoe Lake State Park. There is ample opportunity for an array of outdoor activities in all seasons. The hospital is a freestanding contemporary/country style building, located on 3 acres with panoramic mountain views. Our open and inviting waiting room fosters hometown conversation among our clients. There are three exam rooms with the largest one capable of accommodating multiple family members for a comforting euthanasia experience. A large vaulted treatment room with 2 workstations is bathed in natural light from the skylight above. An atmosphere of kindness and caring from our staff welcomes one throughout the hospital. Marla, the office manager has been with us for 13 years, Bonnie our receptionist, a veteran of 5 years. Our technical staff Frankie, our licensed technician and Ann our assistant provide the hands on comfort and care to the patients. We have a fully equipped hospital allowing us to provide high standard medicine and surgery. We have in house blood machines, access to a full service laboratory, full dental machine, endoscopic, ultrasonic and orthopedic capabilities. Other equipment includes IV pumps, Tonopen, ECG, and Dinamap, Doppler, and pulse ox. We strongly believe in a team approach with discussion of cases, and sharing of knowledge.
