Assistant Professor, Large Animal Medicine. Job Requisition: 155503. The Veterinary Population Medicine Department is recruiting to fill a tenure track Assistant Professor position in Large Animal Internal Medicine. The successful applicant must have a DVM/VMD or equivalent foreign degree, outstanding clinical and interpersonal skills, and advanced clinical training and board eligibility in large animal internal medicine. Board certification in large animal medicine and/or a PhD degree are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate excellent potential for developing an independently funded, focused program of research. Duties will include clinical service in large animal medicine as well as teaching large animal medicine and genetics to DVM and graduate students using lecture, laboratory and clinical rotation formats. Preference will be given to individuals who have demonstrated excellence in academic teaching. This is primarily a research and teaching position with approximately 25% time devoted to clinical service. The successful candidate will also be expected to participate in outreach programs.
