RE: Veterinarian Job Opening
A unique opportunity awaits a special individual(s) interested in promoting animal welfare by combating the pet overpopulation crisis. The SEK Humane Society is seeking a veterinarian(s) to oversee spay/neutering for the homeless and abused animals brought into the care of the Society. Also to be the Primary Vet for the Pawprints on the Heartlands, a non-profit organization which promotes spay/neutering by offering low cost services to everyone.
Other duties include being the on-site Vet to oversee appropriate disease prevention of rescued animals that come into the care of the Society. The Society is currently in progress of building an on-site mini clinic for this position. You will have all the benefits of working a clinic without the stresses of financial and personnel management!
Minimum qualifications include a DVM, current license or able to be licensed to practice in Kansas, experience with medical and surgical cases preferred, willingness to learn and excellent interpersonal and communications skills are also important.
