Southwest Veterinary Oncology is seeking an ACVIM Diplomate or a residency-trained individual with ACVIM accepted credentials to join our multi-specialty referral-only facilities in Tucson and the Phoenix metropolitan area. The facility in the Phoenix region currently provides expertise in the specialties of anesthesiology, cardiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, ophthalmology and surgery (with one surgeon fellowship trained in surgical oncology), and 24 hour emergency services along with the established medical and radiation oncology personnel. The 32,000 square foot hospital has 23 patient examination rooms and houses 4 surgical suites, a 6MeV linear accelerator, diagnostic imaging facilities with 2 digital radiology units, a GE-AC/T Scintron large field of view gamma camera, a Universal helical CT scanner, a C-arm fluoroscopy unit, a GE Logiq 7 ultrasound, Vivid-I cardiac ultrasound, in house laboratory facilities as well as a highly motivated support staff. The facility in Tucson provides specialty care in anesthesiology, critical care, dentistry, dermatology, internal medicine, ophthalmology and surgery as well as oncology and also provides 24-hour care. Radiation therapy is performed with a cobalt teletherapy unit. A small field of view gamma camera is present in this facility. Digital radiography, ultrasound, and a CT scanner are also in place. The staff in Tucson is seasoned and stellar. Both Phoenix and Tucson have one satellite facility in place. I am a 1963 KSU grad and would like to give K State preference over other Veterinary Schools.
