KSUCVM • Library • Databases

These databases are the ones most commonly used by professionals in veterinary medicine.  Most of the databases provide journal citations although some have full text of articles, pamphlets, etc. Some of the databases are restricted to KSU personnel.

A researcher doing a comprehensive search of the veterinary literature may need to search CAB, PubMed, Agricola, MEDLINEPlus, and several other databases.  A student in veterinary medicine looking for a recent clinical article may only need to search CAB to find appropriate sources.

Some databases are available to local clientele through WebSPIRS (web).  Bookmarking web sites is a convenient way to return to that database.

CAB (veterinary, restricted to KSU)

PubMed (free medical citations)

MEDLINEPlus (free consumer health) PubMed (KSU only)
