Susan Moore has a Master’s degree in Pathobiology, emphasis on Immunology, and a bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology. She is registered Medical Technologist and a Specialist in Blood Banking through the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP). Her background is in immunohemotology with several years experience in hospital blood banking and eight years as the supervisor of an advanced reference laboratory and technical consultant to the HLA Platelet Matching Program with the American Red Cross Blood Services. Her experience in rabies serology consists of 10 years with the K-State Rabies Laboratory performing and managing the testing of human and animal serum samples. As well, she has supervised the testing of human samples from a number of human rabies vaccine clinical trials and rabies serology research investigations. She has research experience in the Flow Cytometry Laboratory concentrating on the investigation of the lymphocyte proliferation, subset profiling and cytokine response (secreted and intracellular) to vaccine antigen in a number of species, including human, canine, bovine and equine subjects.
