'Wall of Honor' Recognizes Scholarship Donors

The Kansas Veterinary Medical Association Foundation Student
Scholarship Fund, a fund-raising project of the KVMA, is dedicated to helping KSU
veterinary students. Established in June 2000, the Fund provides scholarships as well as
support for student projects.
The 'Wall of Honor' recognizing these donors is located in Trotter Hall. Each brick in this wall will carry the name of a private or company donor who has contributed or pledged to the scholarship fund. The minimum for a private donor is $1,200 over a three-year period and the minimum for a corporate donor is $2,500.
So far, over $73,500 has been raised or pledged. There are currently 55 individuals and three corporations who have chosen to support K-State and the KVMA. It is expected that the first veterinary student scholarship from the KVMA Foundation will be awarded during the annual KVMA meeting in January 2002.
The names of donors, who have pledged or have made donations since January 2001, will be added to the wall in June during the Annual Conference for Veterinarians in Manhattan. The college and the KVMA are proud of the teamwork that exists between the university and the veterinary profession through projects such as these.
