Trend Micro OfficeScan Installation For KSUCVM Users with other antivirus software

Installing the Trend Micro OfficeScan client for CVM user with antivirus software other than Symantec requires two steps:

  1. Removing Current Antivirus Software - This step MUST be completed before Trend Micro OfficeScan is installed.
  2. Installing Trend Micro OfficeScan
Using Add or Remove Programs to Remove Current Antivirus
  1. Click Start and then click Control Panel (you may have to point to Settings before clicking Control Panel).
  2. Double-click Add or Remove Programs.
  3. Scroll down to the antivirus program installed on your computer and then click it to highlight it.
  4. Click the Remove button and then follow the uninstall instructions on the screen (instructions will vary depending on the antivirus program installed).

  5. Restart your computer after the antivirus program has been removed.
  6. Proceed to Installing Trend Micro OfficeScan
     
Installing Trend Micro OfficeScan
  1. Download CVMOfficeScanClient.exe (58MB). Requires CVM Login for access.
  2. Navigate to the location where you saved the download.
  3. If using WindowsXP, double-click CVMOfficeScanClient.exe.
  4. If using Windows Vista, right-click on CVMOfficeScanClient.exe and select Run as Administrator.
  5. A Trend Micro OfficeScan banner will appear, followed by a Setup window. When the Setup window closes, Trend Micro OfficeScan is installed.

  6. You have completed the migration to Trend Micro and may close this browser window.
