Classified Employee of the Year

The Department of Anatomy and Physiology is proud to recognize
Ryan Carlin as our 2003 Classified Employee of the Year.

Ryan Carlin receives his award

Ryan has been in the department for almost 5 years. He started working in Dr. Jane Westfall’s Ultrastructure Laboratory as an electron microscopist. Upon Dr. Westfall’s retirement, Ryan became a Research Technologist working with Dr. Bruce Schultz. Ryan manages Dr. Schultz’s laboratory where he has developed exceptional cell culture and electrophysiological techniques. Clearly, Ryan has outstanding technical capabilities; however, what sets Ryan apart from other individuals is his attitude. Certainly, Ryan must have had some tough days during his employment in the department, but if he did no one ever knew. With his up-beat personality and can-do approach to any task, Ryan is always pleasant to work with and ready to help anyone that needs a hand. Congratulations Ryan and thank you for your outstanding performance.
