Dr. Ken Harkin - Norden Distinguished Teacher Award

KSU College of Veterinary Medicine Dean Ralph C. Richardson, right, presents the 2001 Norden Distinguished Teaching Award to Dr. Kenneth Harkin, Assistant Professor in Internal Medicine, Department of Clinical Sciences.

Dr. Harkin joined the faculty at KSU in 1997 as a clinical instructor and then was hired as an assistant professor in small animal internal medicine in 1998. His research interests include infectious disease (with an emphasis on Leptospirosis), canine dysautonomia, perianal fistula of dogs, and chronic canine liver disease. He is the faculty advisor to the student chapters of the American Animal Hospital Association and American Association of Feline Practitioners.
