CVM Engagement & Service Activities

  • The Veterinary Health Center offers high-quality patient care from a staff of more than 50 veterinarians in our state-of-the-art 185,000 square foot facility. Each year, these clinicians treat more than 23,000 patients from across the Midwest.

  • The Kansas State Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (KSVDL) develops and delivers accurate, innovative, and timely diagnostic and consultative services to the veterinary and animal health community in Kansas and the nation.

  • Engagement activities include veterinary services and public education during regional livestock events, such as the Kansas State Fair, the Dodge City Roundup Rodeo, American Royal in Kansas, Kaw Valley Rodeo and other events.

  • K-State's Veterinary Medical Continuing Education programs offers a major annual conference and a variety of seminars and symposium, both in-person and online, to provides practitioners and veterinary nurses opportunities to earn CE credit throughout the year.

  • The Shelter Medicine and Community Outreach programs provide medical and surgical care to communities and partnering animal shelter organizations with limited access to services.
