Centennial Program

Alumni Recognitions: The K-State Veterinary Medical Alumni Association will present the Honorary Alumni Recognition, Distinguished Alumnus and E. R. Frank Awards. Drs. Jody Johnson and Alan Lewis will facilitate. Certificates of appreciation will be presented to those executive board members completing their term of service and new member(s) will be inducted.

Distinguished Alumnus Award: Bennie Osburn will receive the College's 2004 Distinguished Alumnus Award for outstanding achievements and contributions to the veterinary profession. Dr. Osburn received his DVM in 1961 from Kansas State University.

E. R. Frank Award: Robert Taussig will receive the College's 2004 E. R. Frank Award for meritorious service to the College and the veterinary profession. Dr. Taussig received his MS in 1970 from Kansas State University and his DVM in 1945 from Colorado State University.

Birthday Party: Philip Carter (KSU '26) 100th birthday celebration. Come share a piece of Dr. Carter's 100th birthday cake! As our oldest living alumni, Dr. Carter advises us, "I've reached my great age by living right, traveling, exercising and being active . . . . and maybe it is also due to inherited genes and some just plain old luck!"
