Conference Objectives
Veterinary critical care requires good medical
and surgical teamwork. Successful treatment depends on our ability to
provide medical support to prepare a pet for surgery, to know when
surgery is needed (or not needed), to know the appropriate timing of
surgical intervention, and on our ability to recognize clinical signs of
complications that may occur. The intent of this seminar is to provide
information, in lecture and case-based formats, that will demonstrate in
various body systems, both surgical and medical aspects of critical care
for small animals.
