Frick Auditorium is located on the second floor of Mosier Hall.  Enter at the Emergency Entrance.  Signs will be posted to direct you to registration.

Parking
Parking is available on the west side (off Denison Avenue) and on the east side (off Jardine Drive) of the Veterinary Medical Complex.  A parking permit is not required for weekend parking.  Do not park in the client parking or reserved stalls as you may get ticketed.

KSU College of Veterinary Medicine Speakers
Shirley Arck,
PharmD, FSVHP
Dr. Arck received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Kansas. She is currently Director of Pharmacy at the KSU Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital after practicing community pharmacy for 17 years. She is a fellow of the Society of Veterinary Hospital Pharmacists and serves as Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University of Kansas teaching future pharmacists about veterinary pharmacy.

Mary Bagladi-Swanson, DVM, Diplomate ACVD
Assistant Professor, Dermatology

Dr. Bagladi-Swanson graduated from Kansas State University and then entered a private practice. In 1995 she completed a dermatology residency from Cornell University. Before returning to Kansas State University, Mary was a faculty member at the Iowa State University Teaching Hospital.

Barret J. Bulmer, DVM, MS, Diplomate ACVIM - Cardiology
Assistant Professor, Cardiology

Dr. Bulmer received his DVM from Louisiana State University. He completed an internship at Colorado State University and a cardiology residency at the University of Illinois. Barret joined the faculty at KSU in the summer of 2002 as an assistant professor.

Ruthanne Chun, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM - Oncology
Associate Professor, Clinical Oncology

Dr. Chun received her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Cornell University and a residency at Purdue University. She was a clinical instructor in oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before joining KSU faculty in 1997.

Michael Dryden, DVM, PhD
Professor of Veterinary Parasitology

Dr. Dryden received his BS in 1981 and his DVM in 1984 from Kansas State University. Mike was in private practice for 2.5 years. He received his MS in 1988 and his PhD in 1990 from Purdue University. His primary research focus is on the biology and control of fleas infesting dogs and cats. Mike has presented over 250 invited seminars/lectures in 21 different countries and presented over 65 scientific papers. In 1995 he received the Pfizer Award for Research Excellence for his contribution to the advancement of Veterinary Medicine. Mike joined the KSU faculty in 1990 and is currently a Professor of Veterinary Parasitology.

Meredith Esterline, DVM
Resident, Small Animal Surgery

Dr. Esterline received her DVM from Texas A&M in 2000. She then completed an internship with Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, and an small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the University of Tennessee–Knoxville. Meredith joined the faculty at KSU in 2002 as a resident in Small Animal Surgery.

Kenneth Harkin, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM-Internal Medicine
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine

Dr. Harkin is an assistant professor of small animal internal medicine in the department of Clinical Sciences at Kansas State University. He received his DVM from Iowa State University and completed a residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University. He was in a private referral practice for three years before joining the faculty at Kansas State University in 1997.

Lisa Moore, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM-SAIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine

Dr. Moore graduated from University of Florida in 1991. She completed an internship and medical residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Lisa went on to complete a third year of her medical residency at the University of Florida and then returned to the AMC as the staff gastroenterologist from 1995-1997. She was in private practice in Tampa, FL before joining the Kansas State University faculty in August 1998.
