KSU Alumni

Five year class reunions will be held in Manhattan on Friday evening May 31 through Sunday, June 2. Confirmed classes planning a reunion include the Classes of 1952, 1957, 1962, 1967, 1972, 1977, 1982, 1987, 1992, and 1997.

College and campus tours will be available at 9:00 am and at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 1. An additional tour of the Veterinary Medical Complex will be available Sunday, June 2, at 2:00 pm. All tours will begin at Trotter Hall, first floor foyer.

The KSU Veterinary Medical Alumni Association will present the Distinguished Alumnus and E. R. Frank Awards during the conference dinner Monday, June 3, 6:30 p.m., Ballroom, K-State Union. Richard Pursley will facilitate. They will also give certificates of appreciation to those executive board members completing their term of service and inducting new member(s).

Distinguished Alumnus Award: Dr. Steve C. Henry from Abilene, Kansas, will receive the College's 2002 Distinguished Alumnus Award for outstanding achievements and contributions to the veterinary profession.

E. R. Frank Award: Dr. Russell A. Frey from Manhattan, Kansas, will receive the College's 2002 E. R. Frank Award for meritorious service to the College and the veterinary profession.

Scholarship Golf Tournament

The 8th Annual Scholarship Golf Tournament will be Monday, June 3 at Colbert Hills Golf Course in Manhattan. A 9:00 a.m. shotgun start is planned. You must notify Cheri Ubel by May 18 to reserve your place.

Colbert Hills was designed by PGA Professional Jim Colbert and course architect Jeff Brauer. This course will provide a unique golfing experience in the natural beauty of the Flint Hills. Colbert Hills is the first PGA tour licensed collegiate golf course in the country and will be the home of the K-State golf teams.
