The Practice Management Center is located on the fourth
floor of Trotter Hall. Enter at the Deans Office Entrance and follow the signs
directing you to conference registration.
Parking
Parking is available on the west side (off Denison Avenue) and
on the east side (off Jardine Drive) of the Veterinary Medical Complex. A parking
permit is not required for weekend parking. Do not park in the client parking or
reserved stalls as you may get ticketed.

Speakers
Laura Armbrust,
DVM, Diplomate ACVR
Dr. Armbrust received her DVM in 1996 from Kansas State University and has worked for two
years as an associate veterinarian in two mixed animal practices in Wisconsin. She
completed a radiology residency at KSU and is currently an assistant professor.
Mary Bagladi-Swanson, DVM,
Diplomate ACVD
Assistant Professor, Dermatology
Dr. Bagladi-Swanson graduated from Kansas State University and then entered a private
practice. In 1995 she completed a dermatology residency from Cornell University. Before
returning to Kansas State University, Mary was a faculty member at the Iowa State
University Teaching Hospital.
Ruthanne Chun, DVM,
Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Chun received her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of
Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Cornell University and a residency at
Purdue University. She was a clinical instructor in oncology at the University of
Wisconsin-Madison before joining KSU faculty in 1997.
Shannon Ewing, DVM
Dr. Ewing received her DVM from the University of Georgia. She completed an internship at
Purdue University and is currently a resident in Small Animal Internal Medicine.
Laura Garrett,
DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Garrett received her DVM from the University of Illinois. She completed an internship
at the University of Minnesota and then worked in a private referral practice. She next
completed a residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, after which she spent 1-1/2
years at a referral practice in New Zealand before joining the KSU faculty.
Kathy Gaughan,
DVM, Diplomate ABVP
Assistant Professor, Community Practice
Dr. Gaughan received her DVM degree from Kansas State University in 1992. Kathy was in
private practice before joining the Kansas State University faculty in 1993. Her special
interest is in behavior and the human/animal bond. Dr. Gaughan has been certified as a
Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners (ABVP) specializing in Canine
and Feline Practice.
Lisa Moore, DVM,
Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Moore received her DVM from the University of Florida in 1991. She completed an
internship and medical residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York City, and worked
on staff there for two years. She was in private practice in Tampa, FL before joining the
Kansas State University faculty in 1998. Her primary interests are gastroenterology,
critical care, and respiratory diseases.
Diane Phillips, DVM
Dr. Phillips received her DVM from the Atlantic Veterinary College, University of Prince
Edward Island, Canada in 1998. After completing a one-year small animal rotating
internship in medicine and surgery at the VCA Berwyn Animal Hospital/VCA Franklin Park
Animal Hospital in Chicago, IL, she joined the faculty at Kansas State University in 1999.
MaryAnn
Radlinsky, DVM, Diplomate ACVS
Assistant Professor, Small Animal Surgery
Dr. Radlinsky received her DVM from Cornell University and completed a residency at Texas
A&M. She was in private practice in Pittsburgh, PA before joining the KSU faculty in
1998.
Tom
Schermerhorn, VMD, PhD, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Schermerhorn received his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed an
internship at South Shore Veterinary Associates and a residency at Cornell University. His
PhD is also from Cornell University.
