The Practice Management Center is located on the fourth floor of Trotter Hall. Enter at the Dean’s Office Entrance and follow the signs directing you to conference registration.

Parking
Parking is available on the west side (off Denison Avenue) and on the east side (off Jardine Drive) of the Veterinary Medical Complex. A parking permit is not required for weekend parking. Do not park in the client parking or reserved stalls as you may get ticketed.

Conference Objectives
Objectives of this seminar will be to review the basics of the neurologic exam and lesion localization, chemical restraint and pain control, supportive and diagnostic techniques.

College of Veterinary Medicine Speakers
Laura Armbrust
, DVM, Diplomate ACVR
Assistant Professor, Diagnostic Radiology
Dr. Armbrust received her DVM in 1996 from Kansas State University and has worked for two years as an associate veterinarian in two mixed animal practices in Wisconsin. She completed a radiology residency at KSU and is currently an assistant professor.

Barret Bulmer, DVM, MS
Assistant Professor, Cardiology
Dr. Bulmer received his DVM from the Louisiana State University. He completed an internship at Colorado State University and a cardiology residency at the University of Illinois. He has recently joined the faculty at KSU as an assistant professor.

Ruthanne Chun, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Chun received her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She completed an internship at Cornell University and a residency at Purdue University. She was a clinical instructor in oncology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before joining KSU faculty in 1997.

Laura Garrett, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Garrett received her DVM from the University of Illinois. She completed an internship at the University of Minnesota and then worked in a private referral practice. She next completed a residency at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, after which she spent 1-1/2 years at a referral practice in New Zealand before joining the KSU faculty.

Deborah Hall-Fonte, DVM
Resident, Small Animal Medicine
Dr. Hall-Fonte is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She completed a small animal internship at the University of Michigan and has joined the KSU faculty as a resident in small animal medicine.

Kenneth Harkin, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Harkin is an assistant professor of small animal internal medicine in the department of Clinical Sciences at Kansas State University. He received his DVM from Iowa State University and completed a residency in internal medicine at Michigan State University. He was in a private referral practice for three years before joining the faculty at Kansas State University in 1997.

Natalie Isaza, DVM
Assistant Professor, Small Animal Surgery
Dr. Isaza is a graduate of the University of Florida. She completed an internship at Cornell University and joined the KSU faculty as a clinical instructor in 1999. She is currently an assistant professor in the small animal surgery section.

Rose McMurphy, DVM, Diplomate ACVA
Associate Professor, Anesthesiology
Dr. McMurphy received her DVM from Washington State University in 1982. She completed an internship at Cornell followed by a residency at the University of Florida. In 1990, she became a diplomate in the American College of Veterinary Anesthesiology. She joined the faculty at Kansas State University in 1989 and is currently an associate director in anesthesiology and the director of the ICU unit.

Lisa Moore, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Moore graduated from the University of Florida in 1991. She completed an internship (1991-1992) and medical residency (1992-1994) at The Animal Medical Center in New York City. Lisa went on to complete a third year of her medical residency (1994-1995) at the University of Florida and then returned to the AMC as a staff gastroenterologist from 1995-1997. She was in private practice in Tampa, FL 1997-1998. She joined the KSU faculty in August 1998. Her primary interests are gastroenterology, respiratory medicine and critical care.
