The Practice Management Center is located on the fourth
floor of Trotter Hall. Enter at the Deans Office Entrance. Signs will be
posted to direct you to registration.
Parking
Parking is available on the west side (off Denison Avenue) and
on the east side (off McCain Lane) of the Veterinary Medical Complex. A parking
permit will not be necessary for Sunday, February 25. Do not park in the client
parking or reserved stalls as you may get ticketed.

Objective
The objective of this conference is to provide the practitioner with current,
state-of-the-art information on a variety of feline diseases.

Speakers
Ruthanne Chun, DVM,
Diplomate ACVIM Assistant Professor, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Chun received her DVM from the University of
Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine. She did a one year rotating
internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Cornell. She completed a three
year residency in comparative oncology at Purdue and then worked as a clinical instructor
in oncology at the Univ. of Wisconsin Madison School of Veterinary Medicine before
joining the KSU faculty in 1997.
Kathy Gaughan, DVM, Diplomate ABVP
Assistant Professor, Community Practice
Dr. Gaughan received her DVM from KSU in 1992.
Kathy was in private practice before joining the Kansas State University faculty in
1993. Her special interest is in behavior and the human/animal bond. Dr.
Gaughan has been certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Veterinary
Practitioners (ABVP) specializing in canine and feline practice.
Ken Harkin, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Harkin is an assistant professor of small animal
internal medicine in the department of Clinical Sciences at KSU. He received his DVM
from Iowa State University and completed a residency in internal medicine at Michigan
State. He was in a private referral practice for 3 years before joining the faculty at KSU in 1997.
Heather Heeb, DVM
Resident, Clinical Oncology
Dr. Heeb received her DVM from Kansas State
University. She completed a small animal internship at Texas A&M before joining
the KSU faculty as an oncology resident in the department of Clinical Sciences.
Lisa Moore, DVM, Diplomate ACVIM
Assistant Professor, Internal Medicine
Dr. Moore graduated from University of Florida. She
completed an internship and medical residency at The Animal Medical Center in New York
City. Lisa completed the third year of her medical residency at Univ. of Florida and
then returned to the AMC as a staff gastroenterologist. She was in private practice
in Tampa, FL. She joined the KSU faculty in 1998. Her primary interests are
gastroenterology, critical care, endocrinology, and infectious diseases.
Dianne Phillips, DVM
Resident, Small Animal Medicine
Dr. Phillips received her DVM from the Atlantic
Veterinary College, University of Prince Edward Island, Canada in 1998. After
completing a one-year small animal rotating internship in medicine and surgery at the VCA
Berwyn Animal Hospital/VCA Franklin Park Animal Hospital in Chicago, IL, she joined the
faculty at KSU in 1999.
