A booster is recommended for persons with a rabies titer of less than 1:5.

Concerning tetanus vaccination, the current recommendation is to have a booster every 10 years.

A nurse from the Kansas State University Lafene Health Center will be available Monday, June 5 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.; Tuesday, June 6 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.; and Wednesday, June 7 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Trotter Hall Room 2 to administer rabies and tetanus vaccines. Intramuscular rabies vaccination will be $90.00 per dose and tetanus will be $12.50.

The Rabies Laboratory will make every effort to have titer results available on Wednesday for persons having blood drawn by 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 5.
