KVMA Vaccination Clinic

Rabies and Tetanus vaccine will be available for those desiring vaccination.

Concerning rabies vaccination, the current ACIP recommendations state that serological titers should be performed in lieu of routine boosters for persons previously immunized with a tissue culture (human diploid cell) rabies vaccine. A booster is recommended for persons with a rabies titer of less than 1:5.

Concerning tetanus vaccination, the current recommendation is to have a booster every 10 years.

A nurse from the Kansas State University Lafene Health Center will be available Monday, June 7 from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.; Tuesday, June 8 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.; and Wednesday, June 9 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. in Trotter Hall Room 2 to administer rabies and tetanus vaccines. Intradermal rabies vaccination will be $80.00 per dose and tetanus will be $12.50.
