Professor Of Small Animal Soft Tissue Surgery (Tenure Track Position)

 

Veterinarian with advanced training in small animal soft tissue surgery. Specialist certification in surgery and a PhD or advanced research training in small animal soft tissue surgery is required. Must have a documented record of an independent research program in small animal soft tissue surgery. Demonstrated aptitude/experience in clinical instruction of DVM students and residents in small animal surgery is required. Demonstrated ability to develop creative instructional programs for graduate students in the classroom and laboratory is required. The position includes a 50% clinical commitment to the Small Animal Surgery Service of the Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching, diagnosis and treatment of patients, development of a creative, independent and productive basic and/or clinically oriented research program in small animal soft tissue surgery, and university and public service.
