Lecturer /Fellow in Emergency and Critical Care Medicine/Internal Medicine

The University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, Department of Clinical Studies – Philadelphia invites applications for a combined full-time Lecturer position in small animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine as well as Internal Medicine.

The position primarily involves training in Emergency Medicine and Critical Care leading to qualifications to become Board-Certified in Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care as well as providing teaching and clinical service in our Internal Medicine Service. Additionally, the individual will be required to acquire training in interventional radiology  and non-invasive surgical procedures. Clinical service responsibilities will include seeing patients in our Emergency, Intensive Care, and Internal Medicine Services. Teaching responsibilities will include small group and didactic instruction of house staff and veterinary students rotating through the internal medicine service. Candidates must have a veterinary degree, and must be a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in the specialty of Internal Medicine. Applications will be reviewed through August 26, 2009 or until the position is filled.
