FACULTY APPOINTMENT IN COMPANION ANIMAL EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE

 

The Department of Clinical Sciences of the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University invites applications for a career clinical track faculty position at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer level in the section of Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine. Candidates must have a DVM or equivalent degree and should be board eligible or board certified through the American College of Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care.

Responsibilities will include clinical instruction of students, interns and residents through service in the Companion Animal Hospital (65%). The remaining time will be dedicated to research activity, didactic teaching and college service contributions.

The Department of Clinical Sciences presently includes 3 faculty members boarded in Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Medicine and 1 faculty member boarded in Large Animal Critical Care Medicine. The Small Animal section operates a standard track residency program and a formal professional student curriculum.   It is supported by a robust intern program and a fully equipped and staffed Intensive Care Unit and emergency receiving service that operate 24 hours per day, year round.
